so, my wife and i have been stashing miles away for a long time, and we're finally about to fly our first segment (in either of our lives!) outside of economy after booking two delta one seats from EDI-JFK to end a UK trip. our goal was to fly "first class", but this is as close as we could get.

nevertheless, we were still excited, until i started reading reviews of the 767 business class experience on seatguru, and boy, do most of the reviewers seem unhappy. the word "coffin" appeared multiple times to describe the seats, particular in lie-flat position, and quite a few people believe that the service in general is a rip-off.

so, are these just seasoned flyers who are biased after experiencing better classes of service, or will this be a letdown for the hoi palloi as well?
