Really? I've been told that I'm not allowed to even *touch* my inspected luggage at airports that screen in a visible area. Some (EWR) won't even let me watch while they screen in the check-in area, and they put up big screens to prevent you from doing so if you try.
I guess this is another case of the official policy being ignored/interpreted differently at each airport. How TSA of them.
