agreed, knowing what is available is very key but more importantly being able to state the legs that are critical vs "nice to have" if things get off track.
I just rerun my algorithm for that day to find the optimal set of flights to do. Since cost is no longer an issue, it can actually get me more wings if I hit the right IRROP
As long as I get to the city where my next day starts, I don't care what I do for the rest of the day
