For AA members, 500 Minimum Redemption Miles is going away, and as such, AS will do the same. AA wouldn't want it any other way.
From AA website, Effective August, 1, minimum mileage guarantee on shuttle flight is going away for AAdvantage members. The elite member minimum mileage guarantee is also goin away but the 500 mile EQM minimum will still be awarded on eligible flights.
Based on this, I gather, minimum 500 miles EQM will still be earned, but for your mileage redemption miles, it'll just be based on booking class.
