I just reached BAEC Silver over the past weekend thanks to a quick 2-day trip t SFO in F on AA giving me 120TP. Having reached Silver, which guarantees me OW Sapphire privileges for until August next year, I want to now attribute all of my upcoming flights to AAdvantage in the hope of reaching status with them by the time my BAEC status wears off.
Question: Why would you want to achieve AA Plat if you already have BA Silver? Why not continue to credit your miles to BAEC and keep your BA Silver status?
Are you aware that lounge access policies for the Admirals Club are way different than those for the BA lounges? AC access is based on a paid membership or $450/year Citibank credit card or $50 day pass, not elite status or class of travel. (Exceptions such as: Premium class international, five star service, etc.) As far as I know,
and I do invite correction, access to the BA lounges are based on elite status and class of travel, not any paid membership.
