We are talking about two separate incidents. An RAF operated Chinook flew into the Mull of Kintyre in 1994 while a BIH-operated Chinook crashed offshore near Sumburgh in 1986.
The RAF incident rumbles on with Services and ex-Services people, for example there is a long thread with strong views over at PPrune, over the attribution of blame.
