The J lav is not close to the seat. You pass through the galley. What you may get is foot traffic.

As with any other airline and aircraft, noise from the galley itself varies widely. Never heard a peep from the front galley on CX or BR, so no guarantees.

EDIT:

Also, in 1A and 1K, the foot traffic includes those coming up mid flight to take items from the snack basket that sits on the top of the shelf in front of 1DG (assuming no baby in bassinet)

Some people use their eye-shades and noise-cancelling headphones.
