I just came from a fantastic stay here. All of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, whether providing concierge-type services at the front desk or opening the bar late for me.

The rooms are just like every other Hyatt Place; the only downside is that the rooms don't have balconies and the windows don't open, which is a shame given the fantastic weather and views.

The hotel is part of the apparently brand-new Costabaja development, consisting of a full-service resort in addition to the Hyatt Place, residences, a golf course, and a marina. (Contrary to the web site, there is no beach really close by, though there are public beaches a short taxi ride away.)

The development is on the edge of town, around 10 minutes from the malecon and 30 minutes from the airport, but there are always taxis available.
