Takes a special breed of executives to transform loyalty programs that regularly cause customers to make completely irrational economic decisions into one that leaves everyone acting in their own self interests as if there is no loyalty program at all. Shortsighted, I believe. Time will tell.
Agree. Give Parker credit for bribing unions out of BK though. But let's get real. with cheap oil and less competition, anyone can run a profitable airline.
The current AArrogance is breathtaking. From first to worst in no time and they think no one will notice. The next event and/or downturn will be ugly.

1) No foreign based waiver.
2) No partner credit card spend waiver.
As things stand right now AA has positioned itself as the worst of the three domestic airlines, in so many of the criteria that matter to frequent fliers. I'm not sure how Parker and company plan to attract new customers and keep current ones...
I doubt they've thought that far ahead. They are still congratulating themselves for the BK coup (as would I).
As for running an airline? LOL. I'd be cashing out my options ASAP.
