Unfortuneately, as long as DL sells the tight seats with this level of recline, you are at the mercy of the type of self-centered, uncaring donkey that 2C is.

He should NOT recline during meal service (notify the FA, they will help) and he should also NOT "slam-recline" meaning a sudden, rapid movement that could smash your laptop screen, etc.
