Just finished this trip. FWIW, the official policy is that DL medallions can not use premium check-in lines or premium boarding BOM. I did manage to get into the Silver/Gold check-in line by sweet talking the attendant, but YMMV.

Also, I asked if they would upgrade me to business class for a price and I was offered one for INR 50,000 (approximately $700+), which I declined as it was a bit too steep for me.
