IMO, pmAA domestic was worth it... worth making an extra connection, worth spending more time in the air, worth paying a little more. pmAA was simply a better domestic airline offering better service and a better experience than the competition. Something that the HP suits never understood and/or simply don't care about.
On the other hand, trashing the product has liberated me by opening opportunities to choose an airline based on the best combination of service, price and convenience.
In most cases for me these days, that airline isn't AA.
I agree wholeheartedly. The loyalty is done with me, too.
Unfortunately, the HP guys are going to make tons of money before these decisions come home to roost.
