I have people complain rarely about the whole security process. It seems to me that everywhere you go you go through some sort of process.
Six Flags- you walk through metal detector, if you alarm you are wanded. And ALL bags are checked. Don't ever remember a terrorist activity there...
Concert arenas - Everyone is wanded and all bags are checked
Sporting events - Everyone is wanded and all bags are checked.
Courthouses - Everyone walks through metal detectors and all bags are checked.
To me this would seem more like a violation of "civil liberties" than what we do.
We are just following directives to keep airliners safe. All rules are not good ones, but the general idea of being wanded and having bags xrayed and possible searched seems minimal compared to other arenas you attend.
