Saman Villas goes back years - it was one of the very first resort hotels in Sri Lanka and was my first taste of the country back in the 1980s. I will be interested to hear how the years have treated it.
. I spent a night at Galle force when my flight got cancelled. It's an okay hotel, not all rooms are renovated yet. It is in a great location though, right on the beach!
