As said in a previous post, I agree that the A340 is much the better option....especially with the seat 1-1-1 layout.

Choose carefully from the seat map and depending on what side of the plane you are on, you will have no one facing you.

Regards having your bed made up, it's no great deal. You can easily do it yourself although you will have to ask for the bed cover,duvet and pillows from the Cabin Crew.

I much prefer to just ask for the bed to be made up for me.....and just go to the loo for a pee and to brush my teeth. When you get back, it's all ready for you. They are very keen to do it.

I find the overnight VS flights from the East Coast to be very comfortable and I always sleep well. Just let the Cabin Crew guys know when you would like to be woken up and they will be ready with a coffee and a bacon sarnie with brown sauce before you arrive at LHR

The UC product is very good and I'm sure you will enjoy your flight.
