I noticed yesterday on the first day LHR-ARN went to FLY that I had a free seat next to me despite the area around me being quite full, including middle seats. I suppose this could be a coincidence of course, but it got me wondering whether FLY blocks seats next to silver/gold, only letting others select them if there is nothing else.
