And that's it in a nut-shell. BA was cleared to push back into the path of the Stobart which had been cleared witha 'caution'. Speedy Stobart makes a quick exit, and cuts across the back end of the BA which is, by now, also pushing back.

Rear-view mirrors are not a manufacturer option, so Well Done the BA push-back crew who saw the problem.

On the <edited> evidence offered, there was no clear instruction to either aircraft about deconflicting this scenario. Sorry, Ground, you let things slip ... I accept you were busy, but letting both aircaft sort it out themselves was NOT an option.
