I have a four hour layover in Frankfurt after an overnight flight. I don't have any status or lounge memberships, and I am flying coach, so I am considering the following options for my layover. It appears as though both my arriving flight (from IAD) and my departing flight (to Nairobi) are from Terminal 1

1 - use paid general access showers in airport, spend rest of layover in main waiting areas of airport.

2 - day pass to LUXX Lounge - terminal 1, but LANDSIDE. Seems like not a great option to deal with security again.

3 - day pass to SKY LOUNGE in terminal 2 - this is airside. How long would it take to transit from terminal 1 to terminal 2 and back again for my flight? Do I have to go through security again? Again, seems like it might not be worth the hassle.

I am leaning toward option 1, but just wanted to check on others' opinions.

Any advice on nice quiet-ish areas to relax in Terminal 1? Best food options?
