They do still charge $10/day. The one in your room is an emergency life jacket, not the same "recreational" type you get and wife was told not to use it for snorkeling.
Just came back from 5 night stay and WOW this place was incredible. Wife and I did the Discover Scuba w/open water for $360 (wife has never went diving) and we both absolutely loved it.
