When I bought my DONE5 through BA's JNB office - the process took about 15 minutes on the phone. I paid for the ticket in Rand using my Australian credit card. (Of course that meant I had to pay a 3% forex fee

I have not tried this for RTW fares, but BA will happily quote in an arbitrary currency converted at the IATA exchange rate, independent of the selling country. I used to buy quite a lot of ex-Norway tickets priced at BGO and priced in GBP.
