Ok y'all who were so quick to call scam, here's some more fun for you.

This is my old thread on EC261 compensation: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/delta...pensation.html. In that thread I said my compensation due was USD796.19. There's even a scan of the cheque in it, which wound up being for $796.16. That's essentially what the outstanding assets letter says I'm due.

I checked Mint and I have no record of any deposit of $796.19 or $796.16, nor do I any deposit records from Delta at all. Looks like I never cashed it. Oops!

Now to figure out how to get this money without paying 15%!
