It was great when I went into Van Clef and Arpels trying to spend $500...
Online selection is very poor, so I'd suggest going into the store. I've never encountered anyone "snooty" at any of their locations. But then again, I can't say that Bergdorf or Barneys have snooty employees either. Lastly, if your wife inquired about anything that's under $500, I think the sales people would get tired of pointing stuff out. It's not that high end of a store...
