Completely agree with others here -- it's mind boggling how manual and error prone the GUC process seems to be.
One time an agent looked at one of my itinerary's with a GUC wait-listed and told me "there's no way this ever would have cleared the way the GUC was applied -- there are three separate steps the agent needs to complete and they didn't do all of them right."
