This fall I'm doing a roundtrip LAX<->MLE, which will be TK10+TK730 then TK731+TK75. My best bet so far is to pay money for a E-class (semi-restricted economy) directly from the Turkish website, which will allow me to use 130,000 miles to guarantee a J-class (business) upgrade.

My understanding of https://www.united.com/cms/en-us/mar...spx?itemid=306 is that I'll get 1x award miles if I do that. My further understanding is that if I can book via United somehow (phone or Internet) I can bump that significantly (in my case by 7x, which will basically be a free flights worth of miles in and of itself).

Question: Is there a way to book those flights via United? (obviously I already search united.com and can't find it as a codeshare/etc)

Slight off-forum bonus: Is there a way to, knowing a carrier, flight, and date, to search "show me all the codeshares" so I know who else I could possibly book through?
