Nicely written, and I agree a BMG is warranted.
I have had enough a/c failures in my hotel-hopping career, that I always carry a Walmart indoor/outdoor thermometer. It has a probe on a wire for the "outside" temperature. I use this to gauge the temperature of the air coming out of the vent.
I cannot count how many times I had an "engineer" come up to the room, hold his hand up to the vent, and declare it was working when it wasn't working. It was just that the moving air felt cool.
This way I can just point to the temperature of the air coming out of the vent. I did get one BMG certificate for a failure when I couldn't be moved to another room.
Note also that at check-in, the FDA initially promised to bring up a crib.
$600 for an Embassy Suites room. That hurts. Most I've ever paid for a room is $430 (including parking and taxes) at the Hilton in Huntington Beach for a suite.
