I'm also transiting SYD-LAX-DTW soon, all on DL. Is there a SP or PreCheck security line when re-clearing TSA after customs, or perhaps just a separate line for J pax? Seems like an earlier post mentioned the checkpoint from The SYD flight was overwhelmingly DL so I wasn't sure if they'd set one up.
It has been a couple of years since I cleared customs at T5 -- and there has been lots of construction in the mean time so this might be out of date. But I don't think there is a separate TSA checkpoint for those connecting, But the regular checkpoint does have SkyPriority and PreCheck.
