Had a 5 night award stay. Was upgraded couple days before to a grand deluxe room - SPG Corporate Benefit (gold lite)

Check in was a bit of a hassle. Checked it @ 2pm. Room was not ready.

I offered to pay an upgrade to next level category iirc was a metro suite roughly 3300baht a night. This was agreed, after some typing and confirmation check in agent realised it was not possible to due occupancy levels.

Despite the fact they had other larger suites available (John jacob) etc, they would not upgrade other clients nor me to this suite.
Thus forfeiting roughly 18k baht in revenue (Although a small amount).

Not sure what policy is to leave a suite empty. They couldve always upgraded a plat to the JJ suite and gave me their metro suite.

Was finally given my grand deluxe room @ 345pm.

Other than that, the concierge / butler was top notch! my new property for bkk
