But even if the case, I can tell you I never had any problem ex-US with DL or AF or AF contractors checking bags on different tickets. I even did once DL interlining bags to AF and then XK !! And my best last summer from BOS (contractors) : AF connecting to a TG domestic flight ^

When you read about the opposite experiences here, you realise how uncertain things are.
This is one thing which was better "in the old days
" : interlining was the norm.
