SOME TIPS ON SHOES:

1. The majority of shoes have metal shanks in them.

2. Most tennis shoes do not have shanks.

3. Most Dr. Martens do not have shanks.

4. Certain style of Rocky shoes do not have shanks. (Note: the style that are issued to TSA employees)

5. Cowboy boots don't necessarily have shanks, however there are enough nails in the heel to set off a metal detector.

**Note: Sweat pants, a tee-shirt, and flip-flops are a no-fail way to get through a metal detector.
