I just flew CX out of PVG T2 Friday evening. Arrived 3.5 hours before departure expecting a terrible line, but I was pleasantly surprised! About 15 minutes from check in at counter to lounge with OWE and APEC. But it didn't look that bad for folks who can't use priority lanes either.

Just a minor (~30 sec) hold up to enter departure terminal on a quick handheld scan of luggages for explosives. No ID check nor boarding pass check to enter. The lines for security check after exit immigration was no worse than normal. I did notice all of the counters/lanes were open though. I guess one extra thing was they check portable charger power bank (chong dian bao) pretty diligently. You must get them out of your bag and they will inspect the maximum capacity. I am not sure what is the limit though.
