Infants and Ear Planes - any experience?

Hello FlyerTalkers,

My wife and I are set to embark on our first airplane jaunt with our 6-month old daughter at the end of February. Relatively short hop (DEN - SJC) to visit the grandparents.

We've heard the stories, and it seems that most of the fussing and crying is a result of the pressure changes. I've had some people swear by those "Ear Planes" earplugs for themselves, and was wondering if anyone had experience using these for infants.

I know feeding her during takeoff and landing would help, but it's not always easy to get her to take a bottle unless she's hungry.

TIA for any recommendations!
