Though it's worth noting that the OP's airline seat is not designed to collapse forward so it was a perfectly valid point.
I wonder how CAA and BA interpret 'facing forward', and if it's the same (i.e. does the baby needing to face the front of the plane take precedence, or does the baby seat back needing to touch the back of the aircraft seat take precedence when the two are different positions).
