I do kind of like Doubletree San Pedro....it is industrial getting there but after you are there it is kind of secluded.
The HGI Redondo Beach is hard against the 405 Freeway and as far east and inland as possible while still being in the City of Redondo Beach as one can get. The Doubletree Torrance is great if you want to shop at the Del Amo Mall but not good for any ocean views or access.
For Hilton properties near the beach in LA County, the Hampton Inn Hermosa Beach is about a mile from the water while the Hilton Long Beach, is a few blocks from Queensway Bay/Los Angeles River. The Doubletree Suites Santa Monica is 4 blocks from the Santa Monica Pier.
As mentioned, Doubletree San Pedro is on the West Channel of Los Angeles Harbor - but no beach as I recall. The Hotel Maya in Long Beach is actually on Queensway Bay/LA River but I wouldn't go into the water there - rent a bike or take a Long Beach bus to get to the collection of sand for which Long Beach is named and be a bathing beauty there.
There are some Orange County Hilton properties on or near different beach-named cities (Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach, DoubleTree Suites Doheny Beach in Dana Point) but you might do better to go outside the Hilton brands if access to bodies of water connected to or part of the Pacific Ocean is your objective.
