I really would only do it to squarely aim for Paragon which I am nibbling on for a couple of years. 120,000 miles in a 12 month period is not easy but might be doable with 2-3 of these trips if PE gets promotions points plus my usual flights.
One can look at it as NA-Asia PE. No matter how you cut it, it's a ridiculous deal with at least 40% of the trip in J(Angle-flat to BNE/SYD, ok, but better than the Intl PE seat).
Actually I believe that the fact that DL is doing this making all the SkyTeam members aggressively try to match their PE fare. DL PE is a joke compared to their partners.
