It is generally correct that Aman does not discount, aside from their own special offers and the FHR Platinum program, which are not so much discounts as extra amenities. I have been in essentially empty Amanresorts (including once at Amanjiwo where my wife and I were the only residents, and another time at Amanwana when we were joined by one other couple), and no discounts at all were on offer.

This is not universally true though. I have noticed that Amanpulo offers discounts to residents of the Philppines that are fairly substantial. I am unaware of such resident discounts being offered elsewhere, though I doubt that this would help you in any case.

Rest assured though, that they are worth every penny charged, and then some.
