My only Maldivian experience is at the Four Seasons. Was there for two weeks, and all aspects of visit were flawless.

We had overwater room - which was nice but had no private outdoor area (as you're on the water!). For more privacy, you might consider one of their landside rooms with private pool.

Not overly fancy, but one of the finest hotel experiences I've ever had.
