Duty PAID spirits (whisky) as hand luggage?

I'm soon to fly LHR-MEL, overnight stop then on to SYD entirely on QF, without checked luggage.

This whisky tasting set contains 5x30ml bottles and would make a perfect gift for one of my relatives in SYD. Will I be allowed to transport it in my hand baggage (obv. in a clear plastic bag, etc) throughout my journey? My reading of the rules is: yes, of course, they're each under 100ml so there's no reason to think otherwise... but I've a nagging feeling this might not apply to alcohol, or that there may be confusion about whether they are duty free or not. Reassurance and advice greatly appreciated!
