Just something to add, I just booked at the Boscolo Prague last month and they did charge my stay in advance however most other hotels I have stayed at in the US generally don't charge it in advance or at least not right away. As for the credit card question, yes it should give you the 5x. I had one charge from an Autograph Collection hotel that did not and I just secure messaged chase and they fixed it the same day.
