Sometimes the decision of where to locate a luxury property may be driven by its (proposed and actual) target clientele. For example, the Ritz Carlton in suburban Dearborn, Michigan, has a "natural" clientele from executives of the Ford Motor Company, whose world headquarters is located very close to the hotel.
