I've used the QANTAS lounge at LAX quite a number of times. Though the ambience is good, the food is just so so.
It's getting tiring flying CX and especially frustrating queueing up for upgrade, even with OWS.

I'm debating taking either seat 2, 3 or 7A. I like taking photos of the engine inflight, but I'm not sure which one will have less noise.

You can use the window in doors 2L/R for a picture like that. But if you want to do it from your seat, you need a seat after the door. So 7A.
Edit: it also depends a bit on what camera you ate using. The window in the door is smaller and fairly deep, so if you use a DSLR or something like that. You want access to a "regular" window.
