FYI - I have several credit cards without foreign transaction fees. There is however a small currency exchange difference, usually <0.5%, but watch out for debit cards. I've found transactions always seem to differ by ~1%, (unlike credit cards), even if the debit card doesn't charge a fixed ATM fee.
