In preparation for a week in BKK this Dec, I bought a load of guides. I'm still deciding on hotel(s) - early week 2 night stay (interrupted by the Grand Hotel d'Angkor) then returning for another 2 night stay.

Anyways, I thought I'd look up the Frommer's recommendations just for the heck of it -- I did my FT search homework already thank you -- and the 2002 Thailand guide does not list the Peninsula at all. It's not even on the map. The Oriental, Sukothai, Dusit, Grand Hyatt, Mandarin -- all there, just no Pen.

Is that weird or what? Am I missing something?
