In general both countries are quite expensive to live in and even though the salary is adjusted to the cost of living people usually do not have much left at the end of the month for savings.
Still, usually people are happy and do not complain about that? (I should know, lived in the Noedics long enough)
Not sure about the OP's perception of things reading his/her last threads about the Scandinavia/Europe Trip experience...
Some things, like eating in a restaurant, are nearly double. Not sure what you mean about applying an exchange rate as it is practically 1:1 (Swedish and Norwegian crown). But I have a feeling you do not get 1/3 more disposable income in Norway. In terms of buying power probably less.
You should try speaking on facts and not on the person.
