I've never stayed there, but have heard similar stories. I have also heard some disappointing stories about the restaurant there, Cafe de Paris.

It sounds like that the hotel needs a complete renovation like that done on the RC Boston. That renovation was very well done. The RC Boston is now good enough to rival any hotel in the city. Let's hope they renovate RC Montreal soon.
