Than you are wrong informed... The average Norwegian salary is higher (about NOK 43,000) than the average in Sweden (about SEK 31,000). Then make sure to apply the right currency exchange rate and you will a significant difference. Also in Sweden there is a higher range in the salary range, you will find much more people with very low salary and very high salary compared to Norway where the span is much smaller.
In general both countries are quite expensive to live in and even though the salary is adjusted to the cost of living people usually do not have much left at the end of the month for savings.
Still, usually people are happy and do not complain about that? (I should know, lived in the Noedics long enough)
