Leeds traffic appalling due to First Leeds on strike and I made it to the airport for 1910 - guessed I'd missed the 1925 but made a run for it!
Through the airport and last person boarded in just over 5 minutes - I even popped my head round the door of the Yorkshire Lounge to get the free Heathrow Express ticket. So so impressed.
Just on the bus to the A gates now genuinely thought I'd missed it and be overnighting in Leeds - well done LBA and BA!!

our_kid! Glad you made it even arriving so late. I like the cool stopping off for your HEX ticket on the way as well. You won't have had time to enjoy the new furniture in the lounge

Yes the promotion is being run by the airport itself rather than BA. Seems to apply to any southbound BA passengers and you just have to stop off at the lounge to collect the ticket (you don't need lounge access to be eligible). Got my ticket on Saturday and I will be there again tomorrow evening so I can get another.
The ticket doesn't need to be exchanged anywhere so I think you can just get on the HEX and show the ticket. There is a space for the date of the voucher and the return trip on the HEX can be up to 1 month later - although sometimes it seems the lounge agents forget to fill the date in so you can use it anytime
