As it was there were definitely two (I think three but can't be certain) therapists doing massages on the day, at that time. There must be many other people travelling together in F who'd like treatments at the same time. If they have at least two staff doing the massages it would be much better to book two at once, then if they need to, hold the next slot completely free for walk-ups.

Who wants to travel as a couple and wait in the CCR for your partner, for them to then have to wait for you while they go in? Silly anomaly designed by someone who hasn't thought it through from the passenger's perspective, if you ask me.
