We too had the cruel beep last weekend on our Swiss city break. I thought it was an upgrade but no, a late equipment change meant our prebooked seats at the front of the economy cabin were now exit row and as my little boy is under 12 years old we were turfed out to the back row by the toilet as it was a busy flight. As we boarded, the purser recognised us from our half term trip to Amsterdam the previous week. He asked what was wrong and when I explained, he found two seats in Club Europe. Guess who got my golden ticket!
