I haven't stayed there, but I did have lunch at John Burton-Race (before it closed), so saw the public spaces. They obviously (maybe too obviously?) spent a lot of money on the redo, and they're quite grand in that old style, if you like it. I had the impression from asking the concierge something that service might not be top drawer, but that's just an impression. I don't love the neighborhood, either, but it's awfully convenient if you're taking the Heathrow Express.
