Several days in Melbourne Australia and I noticed that there are more DCCs now than in 2014.
The machine of interest if a silver boxy one with a chip reader insert on the top and a much lowered keypad hide behind the insert's exterior. This machine asks for choice of currency every time, but always honor your choice. The selection is straightforward with two buttons, one on each side representing one currency.
Some traditional POS (like the black Commonwealth ones) might have DCC function and it's a "OK vs CLR" kind of ambiguous setup.
